Currency:  Pula (BWP) However, camps in Botswana, U.S. dollars is the currency for purchasing goods and for tipping guides, etc..  In small villages and stores, cash is required.

Passport, visa and entry info:  Valid passport with at least six months left before expiration. You must have at least three blank pages available for stamps

U.S. citizens are not required to have a visa to enter, however, for some countries it may be required

Vaccinations:Yes, if coming from a country with yellow fever, you must have a proof of vaccination. 

Tipping:  On safari, it’s customary to tip your guide $15-$25 USD per person per day in cash. You should also consider $5 – $10 per person per day for the rest of the staff in cash. Usually, a camp will have a locked box you can put the staff’s tip.
