Remembering The Masai Mara On The Cusp Of My Return

In about 7 hours I will be heading back to one of my favorite places on the planet, the Masai Mara in Kenya. I cannot wait. The conclusion of an intense project for work, and the death of my beloved 18 year-old kitty Satchmo, has made this escape a sorely needed and blessed event.

I’ll be camping on the edge of the Mara River in the Mara Triangle with 12 + other Africa fanatics and photographic enthusiasts under the watchful eye of wildlife photographers Marlon du Toit and Morkel Erasmus. The wi-fi there is sketchy at best but I will post on Instagram and Facebook if you’d like to follow. I hope to have enough of a connection to post here as well.

As I consider the next 10 days ahead, I remember last year’s trip with great fondness and look forward to creating some exciting new memories.

But until then, here’s a brief look back to 2013.
