Postcard: “Wait For Me Momma!”

A tiny baby elephant trots after its mother on the plains of the Masai Mara.

It was a cold, grey morning and our little gang in Kenya had just finished floating over the Masai Mara in a hot air balloon. We’d drunk our champagne (a tradition after a successful flight), and we were headed to a picnic breakfast that would be served al fresco.

As we drove, we came across a small herd of elephants lazily moving through the grass while plopping trunkfuls of the golden blades into their large hungry mouths. Except for this little guy, of course, his mouth was the size of a German Shepherd.
