Postcard: Wildebeest Rush Hour

Wildebeest cross the Mara River in Kenya

A crossing is all hooves and horns and the splashing of water. And the honking! The honking of the wildebeests is so consistent it’s like the hum of the world’s largest beehive.

It’s wildly (yes, I went for the pun), dramatic. Breathtaking. Jaw-dropping. Feel free to add your own favorite cliché adjective, they’ll all be correct.

On another note: This photo is also a pretty good representation of rush-hour in Times Square.
