One Month And Counting: Africa On The Horizon

Baby elephant and older brother in Kenya

A special moment from my trip to Kenya in September. A young calf and its older brother – very curious fellows – check out our jeep one morning

One month from today, I will be on my way back to Africa. To say I am excited is truly and understatement.

As I mentioned a few weeks back, I will be spending most of June exploring the beautiful terrain and wildlife of Timbavati Private Nature Reserve in South Africa and the Amboseli National Park in Kenya.

I will be honing my photographic skills with some truly talented photographers, Marlon du Toit (South Africa) and Andrew Beck (Kenya) of the Wild Eye team. I was a guest of Wild Eye last September to view the Great Migration and I learned so much that I felt it was worth the investment to return and get another round of instruction before I ventured back to Africa to photograph on my own in the future.

Over the next few weeks my focus will be on the preparation for my trip as well as the animals, people and landscapes that consistently draw me back to this extraordinary continent.

If you have any questions along the way, please don’t hesitate to ask and if I don’t know the answer, I have a wonderful network of experts I can call upon to help you out.

More to come….
