Anyone that follows my blog knows that I love panning photos like the one above. I love the mix of blur and clarity and the sense of motion these images convey.
I particularly love this image by Dale R. Morris because of the colors, (I’ve always loved the combination of pale blue and brown), the subtle ombre of those colors from light to dark, and the rhino, beautifully captured, earily elegant (which is not easy for a rhino).

This was in lewa, a newly appointed UNESCO world heritage site that prides itself on protecting black rhinos. Ever seen when a dog has a funny five minutes? You know, when they run up and down and around in circles just for fun. Thats what this rhino was doing when I photographed him.
